Not all career upgrades require a hefty price tag — sometimes, the best tools are just a click away.
From audition prep worksheets to goal-setting templates, these resources will help you organize, plan, and elevate your craft without spending a dime.
Script & Scene Study
Uta Hagen’s Nine Questions Worksheet (StageNotes) - A printable breakdown template to help you fully understand your character’s world before stepping on stage or in front of the camera.
Goal-Setting & Career Planning
Monthly Acting Goals Tracker - Actor's Journal (StageNotes) - A fill-in-the-blank tracker to help you stay on top of auditions, training, networking, and skill-building.
SMART Goal Tracker Worksheet (Smartsheet.com) - An adaptable PDF for structuring realistic, actionable steps in your acting career.
Audition Prep & Self-Tapes
Self-Tape Checklist (Casting Networks) - Ensures you never forget lighting, sound, framing, or file-naming basics.
Cold Read Practice Scripts (StageMilk) - A selection of short scenes to practice quick prep before auditions.
Pro Tip: Keep a “Go Bag” Folder
Print out your most-used PDFs, keep them in a slim binder or folder, and carry them to auditions, rehearsals, and workshops. That way, you’re always ready to work, even if you’re thrown into a scene cold. (Note: There are PLENTY of other free acting resources out there, however, this is all I could find.)
